Sharing Data
This section is all about sharing Excel files. When you have workbooks that require input from other people, this is the right section for you.
1 External References: An external reference (also called link) is a reference to a cell or range of cells in another Excel workbook.
2 Save in 97-2003 Format: When sharing Excel workbooks, it's good practice to save your Excel files in Excel 97-2003 format. This way, users who do not have Excel 2010 or Excel 2007 installed on their computer, can still open your Excel files.
3 Save Excel File as PDF: Save files in PDF format so that others can view your Excel spreadsheets without having Excel installed on their computer.
4 Share Workbooks: You can work in a workbook with other users at the same time by sharing your workbook.
5 Save to SkyDrive: If you have a Windows Live ID, you can save your Excel files to your Windows Live SkyDrive. You can then access your Excel files from any computer and edit them with the Excel Web App. You can give access to anyone with a Windows Live ID.
6 Excel Hyperlinks: You can create a link to a web page, existing Excel file, place in the current document or e-mail address.
